Background

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is specifically designed to equip students with fundamental knowledge to meet the demands of undergraduate studies. It is to prepare students with academic and social skills, as well as a holistic education emphasising on student wellbeing. It is to develop self-directed and lifelong learning skills among students.

Entry Requirements

– A pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) with a minimum Credit (Grade C) in five subjects; or
– A pass in IGCSE / O-Level with a minimum Grade C in five subjects ; or
– A pass in UEC with minimum Credit Grade B in three subjects ; or
– Other equivalent qualifications recognized

Learning Outcome

By the end of the International Foundation Programme, successful students will be able to:
– Describe , discuss and apply key concepts in each specific field of study
– Engage with issues in each field of study and communicate these effectively
– Apply statistical, mathematical and enquiry-based learning techniques to identify and solve problems
– Use digital/technological applications to organise, analyse and process data/ information ; and
– Practice soft skills such as leadership, entrepreneurial and team skills effectively and, apply and manage real-life situations and challenges
