PALC English Programmes

In Phoenix Asia Language Centre (PALC), two types of programmes are catered to students with specific goals in mind:

  1. Academic English Test Preparatory Programme (AETPP)
  2. Academic English Preparatory Programme (AEPP)

PALC offers a variety of programme formats, including online, Metaverse-based, and physical classes, with the option for both one-on-one and group learning environments.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES

Academic English Test Preparatory Programme is catered to students whose aim is to pass an English language proficiency test in order to be admitted to a university of their choice. Students that took the Academic English Test Preparatory Programme will be able to sit for IELTS, MUET, Duolingo and PTE.

The Academic English Test Preparatory Programme has 3 crucial modules which are (1) Reading, (2) Writing, and (3) Listening and Speaking where strategies and tips, that are researched and compiled by our institution, are introduced to students in allowing them to be able to answer every question types in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening tests for an English language proficiency test.

In this programme, students will also be subjected to monthly mock tests of the English language proficiency test that they will be taking in the near future in order to prepare them for the test so that they can understand realistically what the English language proficiency they will be taking is like.

The Academic English Preparatory Programme on the other hand is catered to students whose aim is to increase their English language skills. In the Academic English Preparatory Programme, students will be introduced to multiple specific topics related to understanding oneself, society, work, education, health, sports and many other more aimed to increase students’ general knowledge and vocabulary in English.

In this programme, students’ communicating skills, oral and listening skills will be improved as tutors will encourage and require students to share their opinions and be engaged in the discussion of certain topics. Still, student’s reading and writing skills will as well be increased in grammatical terms as this programme is aimed to increase the overall performance of students’ English language skills.

Students’ will be subjected to multiple unconventional exercises that challenge their effective thinking and skills in English.
