Program Overview
UNIRAZAK’s Master of Education is designed to provide you with the professional knowledge, skills and attributes to function effectively as an educator or to pave the way to become an academic scholar. The programme is tailored to be flexible for those from various backgrounds such as in-service teachers, working adults, education officers and aspiring researchers in the field of education, whose experience will be engaged as valuable components of the programme.
In this Master of Education programme, you will develop a strong background in education theories and practices, so that as an academic scholar or education researcher, you will be able to apply scientific methods to identify problems and offer appropriate solutions. The learning experiences will equip you with professional skills in interpersonal relations and teamwork, as well as develop skills needed for writing academic research.
It will prepare graduates with important work-related skills such as teacher leadership and team-building skills, decision making, learning strategies and school management, critical and analytical thinking skills and project management skills. This is in line with UNIRAZAK’S mission to produce quality graduates with relevant workplace experience and competencies.
The blended learning mode will give you the flexibility to engage in problem-based learning using workplace or on-site learning strategies. The range of distance and blended learning delivery options employed by UNIRAZAK provide flexible learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their location. Students are taught by highly qualified, experienced, and supportive teachers who will provide a high level of pastoral care.
This is a one-year program, notable for its flexible nature, utilising digital technologies to ensure you can participate at any time and place, whilst enabling you to continue working as you study.

BACHELOR’S DEGREE
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by the University Senate.
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent that does not meet the minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a minimum of five 5 years working experience in the related field.
APEL
APEL admission requirement for Master Programme: Minimum 30 years of age with STPM/Diploma/A-Level/equivalent and relevant work experience.
